    Kent Rubber Supply is a locally owned and operated distributor of Custom Rubber and Hose solutions. Seeking to add an Inside/Outside Sales position. Custom Rubber and Hose solutions distributor. Responsible for being knowledgeable and educated about our company's products and services. Provide professional, accurate, and excellent customer service.

    Responsibilities

    Sell company products and services to customers by processing orders, price and delivery inquiries, providing technical and application information, soliciting customer orders, and suggesting additional products in a fast multi-tasking environment.

    Maintains responsibility for orders from quote to invoice.

    Select and specify a variety of products utilizing a variety of vendors.

    Process customers’ orders and send requested order acknowledgments.

    Review customer purchase orders for special conditions/documentation.

    Check availability and verify the ship date.

    Increase order size by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customers’ buying histories.

    Process and expedite orders, and ensure customer returns are accurate and timely.

    Works closely with sales team in soliciting business, executing order transactions, and maintaining superior customer service.

    Works closely with buyers to locate products and ensure timely delivery.

    Communicates effectively and participates positively as sales team member.

    Review open customer order reports and take action promptly on open items, specifically those that may be at risk of not meeting the customer’s promised delivery date.

    Willingness to be flexible, including working overtime, performing responsibilities not explicitly identified in the job description and assuming new responsibilities for the betterment of Kent Rubber Supply.

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

    1- 3+ years experience in hose or rubber parts sales (inside or outside) preferred.

    Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with Kent Rubber Supply warehouse and delivery methods, techniques, and procedures.

    Ability to use MS Outlook/Office, proficiency in MS Excel, and basic understanding, setup, and maintenance.

    Familiarity with pricing schemes and suppliers

    Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, and understand the material.

    Strong verbal, written, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to maintain a good working relationship with customers, co-workers, supervisors, management, and personnel.

    Ability to effectively communicate with customers/peers/supervisors.

    Attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in customer orders.

    Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
