    Our client is a Steel Fabrication company with an established history of providing structural steel for large projects such as Stadiums, Airports, Office Buildings, High Rises, Industrial Factories, Distribution Centers and other construction projects that require Structural Steel.

    They are looking for a Senior Sales Representative who can establish and manage the relationship between the company and General Contractors.  This is a Remote position and can be based out of any large market east of the Mississippi river.

    This person would be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities as well as maintaining existing relationships with current customers. They will meet with General Contractors across the Southeast with the intent of positioning the client to receive RFP's for future projects. They will manage the process to deliver numbers to the client to include value engineering and they will handle any potential objections or challenges in an effort to be awarded projects.

    The ideal candidate will possess previous steel/construction-related work experience and have well-established relationships with general contractors across the Southeast and/or MidWest regions . They will have the ability to "talk shop" with GC's to gain credibility on the capabilities of our clients to meet deadlines and to produce quality.

    This is a well run organization and has the capacity to handle large multi-phased projects with plenty of support. They will report to the VP of Sales and will have annual sales targets.

    We are open to Project Managers who want to migrate over to Sales as they will have deep knowledge on how to execute projects and can leverage their experience in a sales capacity.

    Responsibilities:
    Identify and establish relationships with general contractors in order to generate new business opportunities.
    Manage current and potential client contacts in order to gain new and future work.
    Develop sales plans, proposals and presentations in order to win new projects.
    Meet with clients to determine needs and discuss/promote the capabilities of our company.
    Track upcoming regional business opportunities.
    Provide Sales Manager with updates/developments on current sales activities including upcoming proposals and prospective projects.
    Work closely with Estimating, Project Management and Sales Manager to coordinate and manage the sales process.
    Act as a liaison between customers and company to resolve inquiries.
    Attend industry related meetings and events.

    Qualifications:
    A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
    Minimum of 5 years of sales/estimating experience in the construction industry.
    Established relationships with general contractors is essential.
