    Reports to: Sales Manager / Director of Operations

    Position Overview

    Streib Company is seeking a Sales Representative to join our Systems Department , focusing on Solar, Security, and Specialty Systems. This role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, working with customers to assess their needs, and coordinating with estimators to develop accurate bids. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, skilled in relationship-building, and comfortable working both in the field and in the office.

    The Sales Representative – Systems Department will play a key role in expanding our presence in the St. Louis market by developing strong relationships with new and existing customers while ensuring our projects align with Streib's high standards of quality and service.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify & Develop New Business Opportunities
      • Proactively scout and identify potential Solar, Security, and Specialty Systems projects.
      • Capture site photos and gather project details to support the bidding process.
      • Research market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for expansion.
    • Customer Engagement & Relationship Building * Establish and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, business owners, and general contractors. * Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales process. * Clearly communicate project details, timelines, and expectations to customers.
    • Bid Coordination & Estimation Support * Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and designers to ensure accurate and competitive bids. * Provide field insights to estimators to improve bid accuracy and project feasibility. * Track bid progress, follow up with customers, and assist in securing contracts.
    • Sales Strategy & Market Growth * Develop and implement sales strategies to grow Solar, Security, and Specialty Systems sales. * Maintain detailed records of leads, proposals, and closed sales.

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer relations (preferably in solar, security, electrical, or specialty systems ).
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Knowledge of construction, electrical, or low-voltage systems is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently in the field and collaborate with office teams.
    • Highly organized with strong follow-up skills.
    • Self-motivated and driven to meet and exceed sales targets.
    • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
