Small civil engineering firm which offers inspecting, testing, and consulting services to the commercial construction industry is seeking a Sales Representative with a blend of sales acumen and technical knowledge (particularly in areas of weatherproofing, air and water penetration, and construction materials testing). This is a part time position.

Job Description:

Successful candidate for Sales Representative will be well-connected in the New England construction industry and use technical knowledge with sales and marketing skills to provide company with solid leads to construction projects from private and public sources. Will act as a liaison between the company and clients and maintain company data on sales and marketing. Reports directly to the President.

Qualifications:

· Must have at least 10 years of sales and construction experience combined

· Education: minimum 2-year degree in sales/marketing or related field

· Must be computer literate (emails, MS-Word, Excel)

· Must have the ability to use social media for sales purposes and use the internet for research.

· Must excel at business writing.

· Must communicate well with staff, other professionals, and clients.

· Must be able to represent the company in a professional manner.

· Must be trustworthy and able to work independently while adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities:

· Understand and present company’s services in a professional manner to potential clients.

· Identify potential new clients and markets and develop strategies to target them.

· Research and refer leads and potential projects and clients to the appropriate department directors.

· Collaborate closely with the engineering team to maintain client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.

· Collect and analyze market and competitive data to inform sales strategies.

· Present sales reports to the management team.

Additional Information: compensation is hourly rate or by commission only
