Job Summary The Sales Specialist role markets, prospects, and sells American Family Insurance products in all product lines while promoting our agency throughout the Midwest. This vital role maintains effective customer relationships, understands customers' needs, and matches them with appropriate product and service offerings. Along with effective sales activity with customers, this role encourages professional and social networking among your peers in other agencies while also developing referral networks in the community.
Responsibilities
Develops knowledge and sales tactics for all personal insurance product lines including Homeowners, Auto, Life, and Liability coverages
Helps the Agency grow in prospecting new customers in the Midwest including the immediate opportunities here in Omaha
Proactively cross-sell with an impressive existing customer base by offering additional coverages
Effective prospecting through individual networking as well as provided leads
Professional and proactive activity from lead to close which includes quoting, closing and initial fiduciary responsibilities
Qualifications
Ability to focus with an independently developed sales plan based on your income goals
Active involvement in the local community
Demonstration of sales and customer service skills fitting of our team culture
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to absorb training and quickly adopt coaching
Effective analytical skills in comparing competitive coverages and trends.
Ability to effectively overcome objections while leveraging the strengths of our products
Experience with PC software applications (Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Explorer, etc.)
Utilization of a wide range of digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptop computers both in office and in the field
Extensive promotion of the agency through social media platforms in order to attract new business from your personal network
