    Macauley Technologies is a high-end smart home automation team based in Austin, Texas. We are looking to hire an individual as an Account/Sales Executive (2 years Residential Experience) AV Home Technology to sell and manage the implementation of smart home systems.

    This position requires the technical knowledge of Audio, Video, and Lighting systems--both design and implementation. You must have extensive knowledge of Video Matrixes, Audio Matrixes, Home Theaters, Throw Calculations, Network Design, LV cabling, and Rack Systems. The Account Executive/Salesperson will be the primary contact for executing these complicated designs in customers' houses throughout the home building process, so they must be able to think ahead and implement solutions months in advance. Resulting in the final outcome reflecting the client's vision for their smart home.

    The qualifications we will be using to determine the right candidate are:

    Experience as an AV technician

    Attentive to detail

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    Process oriented & time-management pro

    Experience with construction: general knowledge of how homes are constructed, and the timeline/process to build a home.

    Willing to put in extra time temporarily during busy seasons.

    Ability to comfortably approach strangers for new business opportunities

    Our Account Executives/Salespeople develop their own leads, as well as manage internal leads that are generated by the company. Macauley has many standing relationships with custom home builders that regularly require our services for their homeowners. We meet with each client to discuss and design the technology for their home. The Account Executive/Salesperson is the primary point of contact from initial design until system completion and hand-off.

    Macauley’s goal is to change the audio video industry by implementing common sense processes that minimize the technology related issues and maximize customer experience and system reliability. When submitting your resume, add the phrase: mastermind of technology.

    Pay for this position currently is a base salary with commission based on sales.

    Hours of operation are 7am to 4pm. M-F. (This position roughly follows these hours as well)

    Pay: $50,000 - $100,000+ per year
