    Job Description

    OVERVIEW:

    The alpine marketing intern is responsible for being an integral member of the marketing team and helping drive brand awareness, consideration and authenticity for Salomon alpine in the U.S. They will have, and grow, a solid connection to all facets of the alpine sport community where they will engage and partner with consumers, retailers, media, junior athletes and ambassadors.

    DURATION: This is a paid temporary role from August - December 2024

    SCOPE OF WORK:

    All Salomon alpine categories (hardgoods, protective, apparel, bags)

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Join us as the alpine marketing intern and make an immediate impact on the Salomon alpine community growth, engagement, and well-being. Embrace the opportunity to engage and inspire consumers while fostering a sense of camaraderie and excitement for alpine skiing.

    Community Building:

    • Strong self-awareness and ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders
    • Coordinate on the road execution of the 2024 Quality Ski Time Film Tour including athlete management, event setup/tear down, etc.
    • Coordinate retail and media engagements in alignment with Quality Ski Time Film Tour schedule

    Public Relations :

    • Coordinate and execute FW24 public relations responsibilities including image requests, fact checking, tracking and pitching

    Support and Management:

    • Manage day to day relationships with local ambassador and junior athlete teams in alignment with regional guidance
    • Work with alpine marketing manager to plan and coordinate the FW25 sales meeting and FW25 retailer and media alpine launch

    Training and In Store Experience:

    • Coordinate country wide incentive programs through sales contest implementation via ENDVR
    • Ensure country wide SWAG product is finalized and distributed to each territory
    • Coordination and implementation of POP, in store solutions, window program, etc. as part of the annual sell through marketing plan

    Tracking and Reporting:

    • Manage travel expenses as assigned
    • Coordinate update and completion of Quality Ski Time Film Tour tracking document including relevant stats (attendance, emails, etc.)

    • 1 - 2 years practical experience in alpine ski industry is preferred and/or deep knowledge of the ski community and industry
    • Organized and detail oriented
    • Effective, creative and thorough communicator
    • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects at once while prioritizing based on the business
    • Ability to clearly brief teams and deliver results
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate completion of events and activations
    • Travel required – able to spend multiple days (up to a week) on the road at a time during Oct. and Nov.
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Marketing, communications and/or PR degree and/or track
