Position Summary:
We’re seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Assistant Salon Manager to join our team. This role is vital to our salon’s operations, providing essential support to both the Salon Manager and Hair Artists to ensure a smooth, high-quality client experience. As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining an organized, positive salon environment, managing scheduling needs, coordinating team activities, and helping to resolve client concerns. The ideal candidate is highly organized, solution-oriented, and thrives in a people-focused, creative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Salon Manager in overseeing daily salon operations and team performance
Lead by example in providing outstanding client service, ensuring every client feels welcome and valued
Manage client appointments and maintain Hair Artists’ schedules with precision and care
Handle the cash drawer, ensuring accurate daily balance and reconciliation
Respond promptly and professionally to client emails and inquiries
Take responsibility for opening and closing procedures and general salon upkeep
Resolve client concerns swiftly and professionally, prioritizing a positive experience
Assist with team coordination for events, meetings, and company outings
Train and onboard new team members in client service and salon processes
Qualifications:
Proven experience managing schedules and supporting 10+ service providers
Background in salon or spa environments, with experience in booking software (Boulevard experience preferred)
Strong leadership abilities, with excellent organizational and time management skills
Adaptability to a fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
High emotional intelligence and ability to handle sensitive issues with tact
Friendly, engaging personality with a strong sense of humor and genuine kindness
