Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service / Business Assistant to play an integral role in our company's daily operation.
Our company Sand Group USA is an expanding e-Commerce business. We coordinate and connect local suppliers of bulk construction aggregates (e.g. gravel, soils) to our customer's needs, who place orders through our website.
Job Role:
In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for the company. You will be part of a dedicated team of 4-6 based at our office near downtown Orlando (as well as work from home some days). We can promise that no two days will be the same. Each employee will have an opportunity to grow and make their mark on the company.
Responsibilities: (But not limited to)
- Answering incoming phone calls and customer inquiries online. NOTE: There will be no sales cold-calling. Only incoming quote requests.
- Providing quotes for material deliveries both over the phone and through our online system.
- Contacting suppliers and customers to update them on the status of orders and deliveries.
- Once more familiar with the role, you will troubleshoot any problem orders.
- Advising customers and potential customers with recommendations/tips on construction aggregates for their respective projects.
- With time and trust - some networking, business development, and data-entry tasks will be assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in relevant software and basic computer skills specifically in Microsoft office products and applications.
- Working experience involving heavy telephone interaction with customers.
- Knowledge of call center principles and practices, general office procedures, and basic telephone skill.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Extensive customer service work experience.
- Able to learn quickly and readily apply knowledge acquired.
- Demonstrated efficiency in email management and time management.
- English fluent.
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience/knowledge of construction aggregates or landscaping a plus, but not a requirement.
- Call center experience a plus, extensive customer service background a must.
