Locally owned Personal Injury Litigation Firm in North Austin:

We are looking for a candidate that is organized, professional, responsible, capable of working with limited supervision and committed to helping us meet all our clients' needs. This person must be a team player with a friendly attitude and self-motivated, and able to keep up with a fast pace.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Maintains and organizes litigation files
• Request and maintain medical affidavits for multiple attorney dockets
• Request, confirm, and maintain medical records for multiple attorney dockets
• Drafts, prepares, reviews, and edits appropriate legal documents
• Draft correspondence to opposing counsel and to the Court, Files documents with the courts
• Maintain filing system; E-filing and hard filing of documents

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required: Working towards a bachelor's degree or towards a paralegal degree from an accredited college or paralegal certificate;
• Preferable: One year of experience in Personal Injury Law dealing with litigation and/or medical records;
• Knowledge of general office practices;
• Skilled in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines;
• Skilled in effective oral and written communication;
• Skilled in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
• Experience: Preferred but is not required.
