  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Daily Duty’s (but not limited to)

    • Dishes- wash, sanitized, put away after dry
    • Wipe down or wash carts, pallets as needed (at least once a week)
    • Wash all sinks (hand, mop, dish) once a week
    • Cleaning of machines. You will be trained on how. Machines should not be left wet – they will rust or breed bacteria.
    1. Tumbler
    2. Grinder
    3. Risco stuffer
    4. Biltong Cutter
    5. Packaging machine
    6. Reiser stuffer
    • All Floors
    1. Production Room floor maintain throughout the day sweep/mop
    2. Hanging Room area. Areas that do not have meat hanging in them.
    3. Cutting room (end of the day) sweep/mop
    4. Dish room (end of the day) sweep/mop
    5. Loading dock sweep when needed (at least once a week.)
    6. Shipping dock sweep when needed (at least once a week.)
    • Trash: all trash gathered at end of the day an put in dumpster. Any cardboard broken down and place in bin.

    • Slicing area

    1. Slicers cleaned
    2. Floors
    3. Tables
    4. Trash
    • Front area of building
    1. Bathrooms wiped down and restocked at least once a week, trash as well.
    2. Floor swept,( mopped at least once a week.)
    3. Front door cleaned inside an out as needed.
    4. White painted doors wiped, around doorknobs and doorknobs as well.
    5. Break room, wiped down, trash, floors.
    6. When rags and coats are dropped off folded and put away in proper places.
    7. Restock gloves, hair net, beard nets when needed.

    Once a month deep cleaning – to be announced

    Required Education : High School Diploma or GED preferred.

    Preferred Experience : No experience required

    • Able to understand and follow Chemical & Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures and policies, once trained.

    While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT :
    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet / slippery floors. Travel may be required.
