JOB SUMMARY
A sanitation worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in assigned areas. Duties include collecting and disposing of waste, cleaning assigned areas, and enforcing local health and safety regulations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Works as a member of the sanitation team in their nightly operations at our liquid processing plant.
Washes and sanitizes all processing equipment, meeting or exceeding USDA standards.
Washes floors, walls, doors, and all surfaces within assigned production rooms and the GMP area
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
CIP washdown experience (at least 6 months)
Sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment. (Preferred)
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (desirable).
Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize tasks and projects.
Knowledge and understanding of GMP standards.
Understanding of contamination risks. Attention to detail.
Recording situations that may affect the integrity of the production process.
Ability to stand, bend, reach, walk, and handle thin objects for extended periods of time
