    JOB SUMMARY

    The Sanitation Technician is responsible for performing sanitation duties within the facility, with a primary focus on manufacturing equipment. This role involves ensuring that all manufacturing equipment and areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations. The Sanitation Technician plays a vital role in upholding our commitment to quality and safety by keeping the facility and equipment in optimal condition.

    Schedule: 10:00pm - 8:00am, Monday-Thursday

    Pay Rate: Starting at $16.00/hour + $2/hour shift differential

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Scheduled Area Sanitation: Following a schedule, the employee will need to make sure that Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly sanitation tasks are completed, as defined by the manager.
    • Production Equipment Sanitation: The employee will follow SOPs and SSOPs to properly clean equipment to prepare for the manufacture of human consumable products.
    • CIP Operation: The employee will prepare equipment for, start, run, and complete the entire CIP process for food contact equipment.
    • Chemical Handling: The employee will be responsible for caustic chemical concentrations and will be able to dilute them properly and safely for sanitation purposes.
    • Cleaning Tools and Utensils: The employee will be responsible for the use and care of many different cleaning tools and machines and is expected to keep them clean and in good functioning order.
    • Production Sanitation Tasks: The employee may be asked to assist production in completing sanitation tasks and are expected to assist in any way possible.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Previous Liquids Sanitation experience is welcomed, but not required.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Employee will be working with caustic chemical concentrates, which require the use of personal protective equipment. This includes the use of smocks, aprons, gloves, boots, glasses or googles, and a face shield.

    • Employee will be working with hot water, which can lead to a room having a higher ambient temperature than usual.

    • Employee will spend most of the shift on their feet, as well as walking around and going up and down stairs to complete cleaning procedures.

    • Employee will be sweeping, mopping, and pushing water with a squeegee at times during the shift, so having good control over long handled cleaning tools will be essential.

    • Employee will be using HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) during the shift, so a general understanding of screen technology will be essential.
