Job Summary
- Sanitation employee is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in assigned areas. Duties include collecting and disposing of waste, cleaning assigned areas, and enforcing local health and safety regulations.
Schedule
- Monday-Thursday 6:00pm-4:30am
Pay Rate: $19.00-$21.00 DOE
Duties & Responsibilities
- Works as a member of the sanitation team in their nightly operations at our liquid processing plant.
- Washes and sanitizes all processing equipment, meeting or exceeding USDA standards.
- Wash floors, walls, doors and all surfaces within assigned production rooms according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
General Food Safety Responsibilities
- ____Help maintain SQF Quality and Risk Management System __
- To achieve quality and food safety standards expected by the customers by providing the support required to implement, maintain, and improve an effective food safety/quality management system.
- Report any situation that endangers the safety of food and people in the facility.
Education & Experience
- CIP washdown experience (at least 6 months).
- Sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment. (Preferred)
- Managing multiple priorities and effectively prioritizing tasks and projects.
- Knowledge and understanding of GMP standards.
- Understanding of contamination risks. Attention to detail.
- Record situations that may affect the integrity of the production process.
**Skills & Abilities **
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (Desired).
- Strong Interpersonal, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, walk, and handle thin objects for extended periods of time.
- Will be exposed to various types of chemicals therefore must comply with safety controls, and use the PPE required for each chemical being used.
