    Job Summary:

    New York Medical and Vascular Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. The Physical Therapy Aide will assist physical therapists in providing treatment to patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the physical therapy department. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for helping others.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist physical therapists with patient care, including preparing treatment areas, setting up equipment, and assisting patients with exercises and activities.

    Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions.

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.

    Transport patients to and from treatment areas as needed.

    Ensure the availability of supplies and equipment for therapy sessions.

    Provide support to the physical therapy team in administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.

    Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and safety measures under the supervision of a physical therapist.

    Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

    Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required.

    Basic knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    Ability to work well in a team environment.

    Physical stamina and the ability to assist patients with mobility.

    Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling purposes.

    CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
