Job Overview

bo-mar Industries is in search of a 1st shift Saw Operator. This position will be responsible for cutting custom metal assemblies from 7:00am -3:30pm Monday through Friday at our shop in Beech Grove, Indiana. For more information about our company and shop, please visit our website at bomarind.com

Responsibilities and Duties

• Utilize and interpret engineered drawings to determine how to cut projects.
• Ensure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating.
• Use hand and power tools to grind, and sand metal surfaces that have been welded to ensure safety and a seamless appearance.
• Use calipers, protractors, and tape measures to inspect parts and record findings on inspection report.
• Ensuring safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including proper tool usage and fabrication.

Requirements

• This position is for 1st Shift and will be scheduled for 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.

• Strong measuring skills using calipers, tape measures and protractors.

• 3 years of experience in metal fabrication is a plus.

• Detail oriented with the ability to work independently.

• A Team Player is a MUST. Needs to work well with the other welders. Many of our projects are large scale and takes a team working together to get them done.

• Reliable and efficient with effective communication skills. This position will interact regularly with internal staff, team members, and office staff.

• Ability to use hand and power tools.

• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

• Ability to handle physical workload.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• The use of overhead cranes is plus.
