    Position: Non-Anesthetic Dental Cleaning Technician

    The Dental Technician position is a highly-skilled role that requires an enthusiastic, adept, and versatile ability to gain the fundamental knowledge about anesthesia-free dental cleanings for dogs. You will exercise considerable independent judgment and work supporting a senior technician. Great customer service and communication skills will further define your success. Key Responsibilities:

    Provide quality dental cleanings for dogs without anesthesia.

    Educate pet parents on preventative dental care, procedure findings, and recommendations.

    Gently handle dogs throughout the dental cleaning process.

    Perform teeth cleaning and polishing, including subgingival scaling.

    Accurately document dental conditions, decay, and disease.

    Communicate potential diagnoses and treatments to pet parents and veterinarians.

    Adhere to company policies and operational procedures.

    Comply with safety, cleaning, and disinfecting procedures.

    Clean up after pets as needed, including handling saliva, urine, feces, or vomit.

    Perform other related tasks as required.

    Maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends.

    Working Conditions:

    Lift and restrain animals of various sizes and weights.

    Walk, sit or stand for extended periods of time, and frequently work in a bent position.

    Ability to work from the floor over a sustained period of time.

    Potentially work around unpleasant odors and noises.

    Be exposed to bites, scratches and animal waste

    Potentially be exposed to contagious diseases.

    Qualifications

    1-2 years of exprerice as a Non-Anesthetic Dental Cleaning Technician

    Recent school grads from schools such as Merryfield are preferred.
