Discovery at Home is searching for an experienced medical scheduler to join our fast growing team as a Patient Services Coordinator (scheduler) & Intake Coordinator. This role has the opportunity for growth into a Business Office Manager Role.

This is a full time, in office position is responsible for coordinating schedules between employees and patients. Works with the clinical team to ensure patients are scheduled based on the need and physician ordered frequency. Reviews staff schedules on a daily basis and notifies the clinical manager of scheduling volume concerns. Provides administrative support functions as needed by the clinical teams.

Patient Scheduling Responsibilities:

• Ensures scheduling is performed in accordance with defined policy and procedures.
• Strives to achieve continuity of caregivers for each patient.
• Perform initial Welcome Call with clients to confirm demographics and arrange admission visit.
• Act as a liaison between employees, patients, and administration in regard to new schedules and changing schedules.
• Entering demographic information into EMR, creating schedules for the care team.
• Provide administrative support and assistance to the administrative team (answering phone, making copies, sending emails, filing paperwork, running reports).
• Tracks attendance for all care staff

Pay : $19.00-$21.00/HR based on experience and skillset

Location: Hillsborough County. Current office is in Tampa

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will be a professional that excels in a fast paced environment with exceptional customer services skills. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, a quick learner, confident in communication, proficient in computers/typing, + speaks fluent English (bilingual is a PLUS)!

• At least 1 year of Home Health/Home Care patient scheduling experience is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of staffing and scheduling requirements related to home care services.
• Bilingual not required but a plus
