    Blue Streak began in 1984 as a small courier in Jacksonville, Florida. In its early years, the company operated mostly in northeast Florida, offering same-day delivery service to local businesses and organizations. From its origin, Blue Streak has maintained its dedication to offering the most professional, reliable, and friendly service to its customers.

    In 2005, Harold Boyett, a 20-year UPS employee, became the new owner of Blue Streak Couriers. He saw great potential for the small courier to become a multi-state, versatile logistics company. With more than a decade of management in transportation under his belt and an enthusiastic devotion to enhancing and expanding a small business, Boyett set forth on his mission to transform Blue Streak into a southeastern regional carrier.

    In addition to expanding geographically in the past decade, Blue Streak has also widened the scope of industries it serves. Initially, the courier company worked mostly with banks, moving deposits and documents throughout the city. Now Blue Streak serves a much greater variety of customers, including medical labs, restaurants suppliers, and final mile logistics.

    Job Title: Scheduler / Customer Service Representative

    Department: Operations

    Reports To: Operations Manager

    Location: Jacksonville, FL

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Scheduler to join our Large Package Box Truck division. This role involves coordinating delivery schedules with customers, monitoring driver progress and order accuracy, and ensuring accurate billing for all completed deliveries. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Schedule and coordinate daily driver assignments, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
    • Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any scheduling changes or concerns.
    • Track shipments and driver progress, proactively resolving any issues that arise.
    • Verify order accuracy, billing details, and compliance with customer requirements.
    • Maintain accurate logs and records of scheduled and completed deliveries.
    • Respond promptly to phone calls and emails from customers, drivers, and internal teams.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues with professionalism and a customer-first mindset.
    • Provide detailed reports for management regarding delivery metrics and schedule performance.
    • Collaborate with the operations team to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
    • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and service quality expectations.
    • Use scheduling software and other tools to manage delivery data and communicate updates.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.
    • At least 2 years of experience in customer service, scheduling, or logistics.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Familiarity with scheduling software or logistics management tools is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Schedule:

    • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional weekends as needed.
