  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a scheduler/office assistant to help with various clerical work in assisting the Hospice Office Manager. The ideal candidate should take the initiative to get things done with minimal supervision. Healthcare office setting experience is a plus. This position is clerical in nature and will span across HR, Finance, Intake and other functions as it relates to the Hospice agency administration. We are a family of nurses and admins with the primary focus on our patients' comfort and superb care.     Duties:

    • Managing and maintaining the nursing visit calendar
    • Coordinating with medical staff to schedule patient visits
    • Ensuring accurate and timely scheduling of appointments
    • Answering phone calls and assisting hospice patients and their families with supply orders, refills, etc.
    • Inputting and updating patient information in the EMR system
    • Providing excellent customer service to patients and addressing any inquiries or concerns
    • Ordering office and patient supplies and in keeping track of inventory
    • Onboarding new employees and assigning and keeping track of peripherals
    • Assisting office manager with other ad hoc activities

    Experience:

    • Bi-Lingual/Spanish is highly preferred
    • Previous experience working with phone systems and scheduling visits is preferred
    • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is a plus (Hospice MD)
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
