    The Role We Want You For

    The Mission Critical Scheduling and Lean Practitioner Director will be based in the Midwest region. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing scheduling processes for high-priority, mission-critical projects, and implementing Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. This role is essential in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

    The Specifics of the Role

    • Lead the development and management of comprehensive project schedules for mission-critical projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and deadlines.
    • Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to integrate and synchronize schedules across various project phases.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate scheduling risks, providing solutions to address potential delays and issues. Drive the strategic thinking of Quality Control processes and procedures to be incorporated into Clayco’s Build Business Unit.
    • Champion Lean principles and practices across projects and operations, driving continuous improvement and waste reduction.
    • Conduct Lean assessments, value stream mapping, and process analysis to identify and implement enhancements.
    • Facilitate Lean training and workshops, promoting a culture of efficiency and problem-solving.
    • Standardize Lean methodologies and Last Planner System processes across mission-critical projects, developing consistent LPS formats, and ensuring proper adoption by the project team.

    Requirements

    • Ability to travel to project sites for support.
    • Bachelors Degree in an Construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related.
    • 15+ years’ experience in the field of Construction Quality Control.
    • Experience in high-end, high-rise, commercial construction projects.
    • Experience in Scheduling on large, complex projects.
    • Data Center experience preferred.
    • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
