    Job Description

    POSITION PURPOSE

    · Ensure the safety and fair treatment of all employees, develop each employee under Schnellecke’s spirit and principles, and provide assistance to all departments.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Execute the values, philosophy, mission, strategy, policies, and standards of the organization, to achieve the vision of Schnellecke Logistics.

    · Apply central procedures to the area of responsibility, to ensure the use of best practices in Schnellecke Logistics.

    · Implement continuous improvement processes in their area, in order to create more solid and efficient processes.

    · Ensure that all employees are following safety principles, and that all accidents and incidents are reported immediately.

    · Manage, lead and control Human Resources team to accomplish the targets of the department.

    · Guarantee that all areas of the company are proceeding according to valid labor laws.

    · Accompany and follow up on all labor claims.

    · Supervise that all records regarding the structure and content of employee files-personal data, compensation, benefits, payroll, tax data, attendance records, performance reviews and evaluations, personnel documentation and termination data with supporting documentation are maintained.

    · Provide current reports to management pertaining to organizational structures.

    · Communicate actively with Central Human Resources (Group) and other business units to standardize processes and policies.

    · Promote internal communication.

    · Assure that all tools from Schnellecke Toolbox are being applied and improved continuously.

    · Control roster, absenteeism policy, staffing agencies and dismissals.

    · Compile data from managers and prepare various reports.

    · Follow all safety and environmental procedures.

    · Maintain a high level of housekeeping to ensure an orderly workplace.

    · Provide counseling to employees when resolving any issues.

    · Carry out HR responsibilities in the following functional areas including but not limited to: Employment Law Compliance, Policy Implementation, On-Boarding, and Performance Management.

    · Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluate potential solutions; counsel and coach managers and employees.

    · Implement required compliance for labor and employment laws.

    · Maintain HRIS to include reporting and metrics. Maintain confidential employee data and files.

    · Coach and counsel team members and leaders during any situation or for general knowledge.

    · Maintain a close working relationship with Senior Management and all levels of staff members.

    · Handle employee relations counseling, employee complaint issues, internal dispute resolutions, outplacement counseling, corrective action forms, PIP and attendance counseling.

    · Maintain knowledge of and awareness of all Federal, State and Local Labor Laws.

    · Update employee personnel information. Maintain confidential employee files.

    · Operate as a link between the Local HR, Corporate HR and Management and Operations teams.

    · Assist in Leadership and Development Training.

    · Perform any other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

    · Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of school and experience in a related field.

    · Minimum 2 years’ experience in resolving employee issues

    · Minimum 2 years’ experience in implementing new and revised policies

    · Experience in database, payroll, and/or time and attendance systems

    · Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint basics/intermediate
