Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and energetic School-Age Lead Teacher/ Summer Camp Counselor to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!

During the remaining time in the school year, the teacher would work a part time before and after care schedule. Hours from 8am-10am and 3pm-6pm, with room for more if desired. During the summer, the teacher would work a full time schedule for summer camp. Hours potentially 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities

Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate

Follow a daily and weekly schedule

Provide basic care and caregiving activities

Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones

Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities

Take children on fun daily field trips in the community

Qualifications

90 hour certificate in child growth and development and school age methods and materials OR Teaching certificate

Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider

Strong understanding of child development

Patient, kind, and nurturing

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

First aid/CPR certification or willingness to get is preferred
