    We have a wonderful Physical Therapist opportunity at one of our partner School Districts in Pasco, WA. This position is part time at 20 hours per week. This PT can be fully remote, hybrid or on-site! This PT will also be assisting supervising a PTA.

    You will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive physical therapy services to students within the school system. Your expertise in evaluating and treating motor impairments, facilitating gross motor development, and promoting functional independence will contribute to enhancing students' physical abilities, participation, and overall educational success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' physical abilities and functional limitations affecting their participation in school activities.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' mobility, strength, coordination, and gross motor skills.
    • Provide direct physical therapy services to students, including therapeutic exercises, interventions, and adaptive equipment use.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' participation and progress in the educational environment.
    • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment interventions as necessary to achieve educational and functional goals.
    • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to goal development and service planning for students with disabilities.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and communication with stakeholders in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in school-based physical therapy practice.

    Requirements:

    • Doctoral or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
    • State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist.
    • Experience or specialized training in pediatric physical therapy preferred.
    • Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy interventions, techniques, and assessments.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' physical development and participation in school activities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students and stakeholders in the school community.
    • Understanding of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
