We have a wonderful Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) opportunity at one of our partner School Districts in Longview, Washington. This position is in-person and full time.

We are looking for CBT’s who:

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized program plans developed by the BCBA, reviewing and consulting for necessary updates.
• Assist teachers and BCBA in supervisory tasks as assigned.
  
• Assist teachers in administering tests, evaluating, and modifying student work in the context of a lesson. 
• Assist BCBA, with behavior assessments, skill acquisition plans, preparing student materials as instructed, and training staff on implementing individualized program plans.
• Support classroom environments by modeling and teaching behavioral strategies to teachers and staff.
• Participate in crisis intervention efforts, including de-escalation strategies, and assist in managing challenging behaviors.
• Contribute to the delivery of services outlined in students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring alignment with behavioral goals.
• Communicate regularly with school teams and, when appropriate, with families to support the generalization of skills across environments.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and supervision sessions to enhance knowledge of evidence-based behavioral practices.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.
• Active CBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
• Experience working with children or adolescents in a school, clinical, or similar setting (preferred)
• Familiarity with data collection methods and behavior support strategies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic school environments and maintain professionalism in various situations.
