Behaviorist's Job entails The Behaviorist works one on one in a public school classroom with a special needs client who has behaviors that impede learning. The behaviorist is expected to deliver ABA strategies to help eliminate these problematic behaviors and to teach new replacement behaviors. He/She takes data and complete notes on a daily basis. The full time position is 30 hours per week, 5 days a week. We also have part time positions with fewer days. For the part time position the applicant must be available for at least three days per week. Our clients are in grades Kindergarten thru High School. Our agency works mainly in the Los Angeles area. Training consists of approximately 52 hours of online training . All candidates must be fingerprinted , Tb cleared and possess at least a high school degree. The agency prefers applicants who have an AA or BA degree in the area of ABA, education, social work or child development. Male applicants are especially desired.
