We are looking for a talented School Nurse (RN) to join our team for the school year.
Rate Range: $42.00-$47.00 per hour
Responsibilities would include:
- Provide health assessments, first aid, and emergency care for students and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician and school guidelines.
- Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
- Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and report findings.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators on student health needs.
- Maintain accurate health records in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and HIPAA regulations.
- Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Ensure compliance with state immunization requirements and health policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN) from an accredited program.
- Current Illinois RN Licensure (Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation - IDFPR).
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse Endorsement (required for public school nurses).
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
