We are looking for a talented School Nurse (RN) to join our team.
We are hiring a full-time School Nurse for a 25-26 school year.
Hourly Rate Range: $42.00-$48.00
Responsibilities would include:
- Provide health assessments, first aid, and emergency care for students and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policies.
- Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
- Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and report findings.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to address student health concerns.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with Oregon Department of Education (ODE), Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and HIPAA regulations.
- Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Ensure compliance with state immunization requirements and school health policies.
- Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) for students with medical needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN) from an accredited program.
- Current Oregon RN Licensure (issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing – OSBN).
- Oregon School Nurse Certification (preferred but not required for some districts).
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
