JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: School-base Support Coach
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: FAPT Service Program Manager
DESCRIPTION: One to one Support Services provide individualized behavioral support for students in their academic settings. The services provide advocacy and tools needed to assist the youth, stabilize behaviors at school, improve the youth’s overall level of functioning to reduce frequent behavioral infractions including suspensions and expulsions. The One-to-One Support Coach will provide direct care within a 1:1 Student / Staff ratio inside an assigned school. The Support coach will utilize an Individualized Service Plan to implement behavioral interventions to foster the development of healthy coping strategies, appropriate interpersonal relational skills, problem solving, and appropriate decision-making skills with a goal to support learning in the school environment while deterring disruptions. Male applicants are strongly encouraged.
REQUIREMENTS AND TASKS:
Be at least 21 years old
Must be available Monday to Friday between the hours of 7a-4p
Have experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families
Ability to deliver effective, trauma informed, evidence-based, behavioral interventions applicable to individual service plans
Attend required training sessions and school related meetings
Collaborate with school personnel and family members
Be able to adhere to all program policies and procedures
Be dependable and adhere to time commitments
Be able to communicate regularly with program staff, school staff, submit progress notes, and plan and implement interventions that align with student’s objectives and goals
Be willing to travel up to 40 miles to school localities as assigned
Must be a licensed driver in good standing
Have a clean criminal history
Serve as a positive role model and support partner
Provide effective guidance and skill building techniques
Assist in goal setting and set objectives for goal accomplishment
Advocate for youth and their family to ensure identified needs are met
Provide Crisis Intervention as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must have at least a high School Diploma and prior professional experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral or developmental concerns. Bachelor’s degree in a human services discipline is preferred. Some college and ABA experience is a plus. Must have a mobile phone and reliable transportation.
