This role involves developing innovative testing methodologies, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality results for Alaska’s vital industries. Candidates must have a strong background in chemical or biological sciences and proven leadership experience. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: • Oversee all laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory standards. • Develop and implement testing methodologies, protocols, and quality assurance programs. • Lead research initiatives to expand service offerings and integrate emerging technologies. • Collaborate with clients to design customized testing solutions tailored to their needs. • Manage and mentor laboratory staff, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. • Monitor and report on lab performance metrics, ensuring operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Qualifications: Doctorate in chemical or biological sciences from an accredited college or university, plus two years of post-degree laboratory experience.ORMaster’s degree in chemical or biological sciences from an accredited college or university, plus four years of post-degree laboratory experience.ORBachelor’s degree in chemical or biological sciences from an accredited college or university, plus six years of post-degree laboratory experience. Compensation: $137,000 yearly
