The Pool & Recreation Attendant will make a great first impression on guests as well as controlling the smooth and efficient flow of the pool. They will create a welcoming experience whether greeting a guest at the gate or on the phone. Must be at least 16 years of age. May be expected to work weekends and holidays. Responsibilities: • Provide excellent experience to guests and look for ways to exceed expectations. • Proactively look for ways to create memorable experiences for guests. • Greet all guests arriving and leaving the pool area. • Ensure the pool area is clean, organized, and stocked at all times. • Monitor guests in and around the water. • Patrol and watch the pool and recreation areas. • Enforce pool rules and guidelines. • Accurately take chemical readings • Follow opening and closing procedures. • Complete the daily checklist. • Stock towels and maintain a clean water station. • Inspect the entire pool area and replace any missing items when possible repairing items that need attention (umbrella, chair, etc.) • Keep trash and debris clear at all times. • Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: ESSENTIAL SKILLS: • Responsible and accountable. • High level of professionalism. • Motivated, positive attitude. • Outgoing and sociable. • Team player with the ability to work independently. • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task. • Customer service oriented ensures every guest has an excellent experience. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • At least one (1) year of hotel, resort, food service, or hospitality experience, is preferred. • First Aid/CPR/AED certification, is preferred. Current lifeguard certification or willingness to become certified, is a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to stand and walk for an extended period. • Ability to repeatedly lift fifty (50) pounds. • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, push, and pull.Ability to work outside in inclement weather. Compensation: Starting at $15.00
