    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Premier Swim Academy is currently hiring swim instructors at our year-round location in Rancho Cucamonga! As the Inland Empire’s top swim lesson program, we are dedicated to excellence in instruction, and pride ourselves in going above and beyond for our students and their families. We are looking for individuals who are outgoing, responsible, and have a passion for water safety! In this role you will provide private and group swim instruction to participants in Premier swim programs. You will be supervised by Lead Instructors and Deck Supervisors. You will be required to follow Premier swim lesson curriculum. You will be primarily responsible for all events occurring on the deck. Including, but not limited to, opening/closing procedures, equipment care, and communicating water chemistry needs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Responsible for facilitation of swim lesson curriculum as provided by Premier Management Staff
    • Implementation and use of Lesson Plan daily, as provided by Premier management staff
    • Responsible for the safety of all program participants in group lessons, private lessons, and patrons on deck.
    • Responsible for set up and break down of lesson stations.
    • Effectively communicates information promptly to the supervisor.
    • Maintains a high level of customer service.
    • Ensures that all swim instructors state, communicate, and carry out all rules and appropriate safety measures.
    • Maintains positive and supportive relationships with all facility employees, guests, and supervisors to facilitate the accomplishment of Premier's goals.
    • Maintaining cleanliness and order for the Swim Complex by using staff resources and working closely with facility maintenance crews.
    • Attend quarterly in-service training programs.
    • Follows Premier dress code and code of conduct as stated in the Premier Employee manual.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • ** This role is for 10-15 hours per week, with the option to sub for additional hours**

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum

    • Must be at least 15 years of age
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support Certification
    • Availability must align with current lesson scheduling needs (Mon-Thurs after 3pm and Sat/Sun until 2pm)
    • MUST have at least one day of weekend availability
    • Candidate must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and have a willingness to learn
    • Reliable transportation
    • Ability to work happily and effectively with a diverse group of students and families;
    • Ability to respond appropriately to challenges in the classroom and/or recommendations from leaders and embrace opportunities to learn and improve.
    • Must have the ability to lift 25 lbs. and stand for 8 hours

    Preferred

    • Have prior swim instructor/coaching experience
    • Lifeguard Certification
    • Morning, weekday, and/or weekend availability
    • Previous experience working with children
    • Previous experience working with people with disabilities and/or special needs

    COMPENSATION

    $18.00-$20.00/hour
