    Job Description

    The Seahawks Digital Analytics Internship is a hands-on program designed to develop digital media professionals in the sports industry. The intern will assist the Seattle Seahawks digital media team in tagging, tracking, reporting and optimizing on content created for Seahawks.com, the Seahawks Mobile App, and Seahawks social media accounts, including ancillary channels such as Lumen Field, Blitz, the Seahawks Pro Shop and more.

    By the end of the internship, and in accordance to their strengths and desire to build their weaknesses, the intern will have the opportunity to have first-hand experience in working with website and social media data, building reports that communicate data in easy-to-understand ways, and reporting findings to parties with varying levels of knowledge about the digital and social space.

    The intern will be expected to learn heavily through experience, and extensive resources will be available to facilitate the process at the intern’s initiative.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Utilize our social media analytics platform to thoroughly and accurately tag social media posts from various Seahawks accounts, including ancillary channels
    • Marry social media and website data to create a complete view of the results from all content created around a given story, event or campaign
    • Produce weekly recaps summarizing performance across social media and owned & operated platforms
    • Create reports that succinctly summarize the results of marketing, community and corporate partnership campaigns upon their completion
    • Evaluate KPIs in search of meaningful insights which will help improve future content performance
    • Explore the results of past campaigns, both from the Seahawks and others in the sports industry, to uncover new content opportunities or ways to improve existing work
    • Assist in A/B testing to further optimize content
    • Other duties as assigned

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Attention to detail is a must
    • Above average fluency in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and their analytics
    • Understand the general concept of social media algorithms and how the use of data can help improve content performance
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Familiarity with social media analytics
    • Interest and experience in the sports industry a plus

    Applicant must:

    • Be currently enrolled as a senior, or recent graduate (within 12 months) from a four-year college or university. Grad school students are eligible to apply as well.
    • Have authorization to work in the U.S.
    • Have a current driver’s license
    • Be able to work 40 hours per week as well as game day/nights, weekends and other various events
    • Attach a current resume and cover letter

    Selection Process:

    Final applicants will be contacted and invited to participate in our interview process starting in early May. All interviews will take place virtually. There is potential for an in-person final round interview. Further, we will not pay for any interview related expenses such as travel or lodging; these expenses are the sole responsibility of the applicant.

    General Information:

    All internships are hourly, paid positions. A background check will be conducted prior to starting work with us. Interns are responsible for their own housing, travel, and relocation expenses. Our intern placements will last the duration of the NFL season (approx. late July – February).
