Skills and Requirements:
Bilingual preferred (Creole/Spanish)
Experience working in an office environment.
Compelling computer and office equipment knowledge and management
Professional and reliable.
Independent.
Compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Complete FL-WiSE computer program training.
Client services coding.
Perform check-in of existing and potential WIC participants.
Answer inbound calls and contact clients who have missed appointments by phone or mail.
Perform related work as required per supervisor instructions.
Serve clients that only speak Spanish, Creole, or other languages. It may require the performance of interpreter duties (if bilingual) or the implementation of the Department’s limited English Proficiency Plan.
Perform additional tasks as required and other interpreter duties, consistent with skill level as needed.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position:
Ability to use a computer, printer, scanner, and calculator.
Ability to use WIC program-related software and provide proof of successful completion of the WIC WiSE competency test.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to determine work priorities and ensure completion of assignments.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to deal effectively with a variety of people.
Ability to resolve conflict and provide outstanding customer service.
Answering a high volume of phone calls and rescheduling appointments.
Time Availability:
Mon - Thu from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Friday from 8 AM to 12
