Job Summary: Evergreen Family Medicine is searching for friendly, motivated individual who will be responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the facility, our staff, and our patients, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. Officers in these positions must possess a professional presence, and strong customer service and computer skills; prior military or security experience is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Patrol Evergreen Family Medicine facilities and grounds, both internally and externally to promote a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, physicians, students and volunteers.
Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
Escort employees to parking areas for safety
Work with authorities to have wrongdoers or trespassers removed from the area
Detect safety hazards and criminal activity
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Responds to emergency situations related to combative or violent people that are endangering themselves or others.
Evaluate situations and uses de-escalation skills to resolve situations.
Call police or fire department in case of an emergency
Investigates and/or reports hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances.
Interacts regularly and builds positive relationships with Roseburg Police Department and Mercy Hospital security
Maintain confidentiality in all matters
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
A minimum of 2 years of related experience in security, first response, or military (preferred) Possess a valid Driver's License
Physical requirements:
The work requires, at any given time, and possibly on a recurring basis, considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as running, frequent climbing of multiple flights of stairs, and carrying items weighing over 70 pounds
The position requires stamina, physical agility, dexterity, and the strength to pursue, persons who are often uncooperative, and assaultive. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands to handle, or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel.
Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
