Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Security Officer II.
In this role, the successful candidate PatrolHospital buildings and grounds orHold post on an assigned shift protecting patients visitors volunteers employees and property Respond toHospital emergencies and provide staff support on access control and special activities as required
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or the equivalent 1 2 years Law enforcement operations from an Accredited Law Enforcement Academy Current and valid NYS Security Guard License Current and valid NYS Driver s License Current and valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR and Automated External Defibrillator AED certification Must be obtained within 90 days of Hire date Current and valid Crisis Prevention/Intervention CPI certification Must be obtained within 90 days of Hire date Strong communication both oral and written interpersonal and customer service skills.
Required Licenses: Security Guard Reg-NYS, Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
Some College 1 2 years Safety or security operations in aHospital orHealthcare environment Basic computer skills including MS Office

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,522.53 - $65,063.27 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
