We are seeking a dedicated and professional School Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our students at Five Keys School. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of working with teenagers and will prioritize maintaining a calm, cool, and collected demeanor throughout their shift. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to handle challenging situations with patience, and a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment for all students. Job Description:

• Monitor the school premises to ensure the safety of all students.
• Conduct regular patrols of hallways, classrooms, and common areas.
• Utilize a metal detector to screen students for unauthorized items upon arrival.
• Address any conflicts or behavioral issues with patience and understanding.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to communicate safety concerns and promote a positive school culture.
• Document incidents and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
• Conduct hourly patrols around the property

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security or a related field not a must.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to teenagers.
• Calm and composed demeanor, especially in challenging situations.
• Not required but plus, Certification in First Aid and CPR is an asset.
• Must possess a valid CA Guard Card.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Strong presence and ability to handle confrontational situations effectively.
• Know how to use a metal detector.
