Job Summary
Seeking an ambitious, energetic and experienced Security Operations Manager to join our team! As the Security Operations Manager you will be responsible for the management, training and mentoring of all security officers and the oversight of all security equipment/vehicles. Assist with hiring qualified security team members and attend/direct meetings. You will be responsible for reviewing current security and law enforcement standards and develop new methods for best security practices for the company. The ideal candidate must have extensive management, knowledge, experience and training in Security Operations, Management, and Law Enforcement fields and/or has previously worked in management levels of similar Corporate Security, Law Enforcement or Military career fields. Have strong supervisory, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. This position will require a minimum of 3-5-years experience in sales and client relationships. Must have a high sense of responsibility, dedication and integrity! $45K - (60K with commission).
Responsibilities
Create and implement effective security plans and solutions for both short and long-term goals
Lead investigations/security concerns within the company discreetly and professionally
Act as a liaison between the Security Department, Law Enforcement, Government agencies, and the community; have vast knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding Security and Law Enforcement
Manages Security Department projects, ensuring compliance with project management standards and processes
Directly manage all security team members, provide coaching/training/disciplinary action as necessary and develop security staff
Develop and deliver security awareness programs tailored to the State of Texas-based employees to educate and train them about regional security risks and best practices
Conduct security training sessions for the State of Texas-based employees, contractors, and vendors
Oversee day-to-day AAA Security Guards Services operations throughout the State of Texas, including physical security, reports, audits, inventory, equipment and surveillance systems
Qualifications
Ten years plus overall training and experience in security, law enforcement, military, tactical fields with a minimum of 5 years in direct leadership role as an Operations Manager (or 5 -7 years, similar qualifications and experience) is required having demonstrated the ability to work, lead, mentor, train and develop security staff
Experience, knowledge and understanding of governing laws, policies and programs on local, state and federal levels. Ability to write policies and procedures and implement security programs for security operations
Has oversight of the planning, directing, organizing and scheduling of Security Department's operational resources to accomplish Department goals and objectives for the company
Extensive management, supervisory, documentation, metrics, report procedures, operations skills. Drives operational excellence by establishing and maintaining operational security strategy, procedures, standards, and operational workflows, seeking continuous improvement opportunities, and ensuring effective management reporting
Supervises security operations center with company and third party resources to provide continuous capability for security monitoring, detection, and incident response and recovery
Develops business specific security plans, which incorporate security guidance and integrate security strategy into the business
Knowledge and experience with computers, technology, Microsoft Office Suite, Google programs/Extensive operational experience in Cyber Security, Information Technology or relevant business area
Experience, knowledge and skills in sales and client relationships in the security industry
Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
Working Conditions:
This position may require occasional travel
Moderate-Fast paced environment requiring attention to detail, strong ethics, integrity and thoroughness
Flexible working hours may be necessary to respond to security incidents or emergencies
Preferred Skills/Education:
Experience in conducting security inventory, audits and assessments specific to the State of Texas
Knowledge of physical security principles and practices relevant to the State of Texas
Understanding of emerging security threats and trends impacting the State of Texas
Proven sales and client relationship education/skills
Bachelor's Degree (Master Degree preferred) or 10+ years training and experience in Security Operations, Supervision, Training and Management
