We are seeking a skilled and experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be adept at designing, implementing, and managing cloud environments in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with Terraform. This role focuses on deploying and maintaining secure, scalable workloads. You will be instrumental in optimizing our AWS resources, ensuring efficient and reliable performance across our cloud infrastructure.
This position is available following one of these schedules:
Five days in the office
Hybrid (3 days a week in the office)
Role Responsibilities:
Manage our AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform and CloudFormation) maintaining compliance with CIS and NIST frameworks.
Manage production and pre-production workloads, CI/CD pipelines.
Continue expanding and maintaining cloud-first monitoring, logging, alerting tools and processes that support our enterprise platforms.
Monitor and resolve infrastructure performance and vulnerability findings. Perform root cause analysis.
Work on ways to improve development and release processes, increasing automation as applicable.
Design and document procedures for systems troubleshooting and maintenance.
Conduct testing throughout each of our environments.
Collaborate with the development team to optimize CI/CD pipelines, leveraging AWS services for seamless code deployment and updates.
Stay updated with AWS best practices, new service offerings, and security practices to recommend improvements to the current infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
3+ years hands on, production-level experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer.
Deep knowledge and experience deploying and maintaining distributed systems in AWS.
Knowledge of the AWS Well Architected Framework.
3+ years of experience using IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
Advanced knowledge of AWS and AWS CLI including EC2, VPC, EBS, NLB/ALB, SNS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, Elastic Container Service (ECS)
Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD pipeline automation and tools
Ideally with AWS Codebuild or Github Actions
Docker, Kubernetes, and related orchestration technologies
Scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python
Experienced managing networks, routers and firewalls.
Proficient with git and git workflows
Experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM or KANBAN)
Experience working on cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with peers
A demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to all audiences.
Authorized to work in the US.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in regulated environments
Experience with Datadog, Wiz, Snyk and CrowdStrike
Technical background in development or automation.
