    Our Client is seeking a dynamic Sales Account Manager to build and manage strong relationships with customers in the food and nutrition industry. The ideal candidate will understand market trends, identify growth opportunities, and foster long-term partnerships, ensuring that customers view our company as a trusted partner. This role will drive new business development, maintain an active sales pipeline, and contribute to our company's growth by leading efforts on key suppliers and product segments.

    **This is a remote role, must be based in Texas. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with customers by addressing their business needs and challenges.
    • Position the company as a trusted problem-solver and partner for clients.
    • Identify new business opportunities through market knowledge and drive growth initiatives.
    • Create and adhere to a process for following up on new leads and potential opportunities.
    • Stay informed on market trends and competitive landscapes within the food and nutrition industry.
    • Provide valuable customer and market feedback to internal stakeholders.
    • Manage and grow a robust Opportunity Pipeline.
    • Lead initiatives related to top suppliers and key product segments to support long-term business growth.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • At least 5 years of sales experience in the food and nutrition market, including customer-facing roles.
    • Proven sales success and experience in the food & nutrition market.
    • General knowledge of consumer trends and the competitive marketplace.
    • Strong ability to generate leads with a proactive, “hunter” mindset.
    • Familiarity with key customer and supplier relationships is highly desired.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Must be able to travel 50% (mostly by vehicle).

    Compensation: $120,000-130,000 base salary, plus uncapped commission, as well as a possible sign on bonus! Expected first year on-target earnings (OTE) are in the range of $200,000 to $230,000, based on performance and incentives.
