  • Responsibilities

    Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced senior accountant. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting, particularly during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general ledger and balance sheet principles, as well as experience working with large-scale budgets.

    Responsibilities:

    Financial Closing:

    • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports for management review.

    General Ledger and Balance Sheet:

    • Maintain the general ledger and balance sheet, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements for management review.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

    Tax and Audit:

    • Coordinate with external tax and audit firms to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
    • Prepare and review tax returns and supporting documentation.
    • Respond to audit inquiries and requests for information.

    Budgeting:

    • Assist with the development and management of budgets for the US operations, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
    • Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 10+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on AP/AR and financial closing
    • Strong understanding of general ledger and balance sheet principles
    • Experience working with large-scale budgets and financial reporting
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc)
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • CPA certification
    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience with public company accounting and reporting
