This position can exist at either our Naples or Fort Myers locations.

    Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Reporting: Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

    General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

    Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.

    Cost Analysis: Assist in the analysis of project costs, pricing strategies, and profitability within the HVAC industry.

    Budgeting: Support the budgeting process by providing necessary data and insights regarding financial trends and variances.

    Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.

    Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

    Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems for increased efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

    4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the HVAC or construction industry.

    Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).

    Proficiency in accounting software (Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
