Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic entertainment and hospitality organization in Chicago. This role will oversee accounting operations, budgeting, and financial reporting for a multi-faceted venue. The position offers the chance to consolidate and streamline accounting functions while contributing to the growth of a vibrant business.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting, including journal entries, AP/AR, and maintaining organized records in QuickBooks and Sage Intacct.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and reforecasts.
• Consolidate accounting processes across entities and systems, improving efficiency through automation.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and profitability reporting to senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting experience; background in operational businesses preferred.
• CPA certification (or progress toward CPA) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end accounting, including financial statement preparation, tax returns, and operational financials.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Sage Intacct.
• Strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently.
