    The Senior Accountant will ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting while providing strategic insights to support organizational growth. This role involves overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Senior Accountant is dedicated to optimizing financial processes, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and enhance decision-making. By leveraging advanced accounting principles and technology, the Senior Accountant aims to contribute to the overall financial health and sustainability of the organization.

    Scope:

    The scope of a Senior Accountant role encompasses a range of responsibilities within the Finance Department. This position primarily involves reporting to the Controller and includes tasks such as conducting bank reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and managing reconciliations for the monthly general ledger close. Additionally, the Senior Accountant performs financial analysis, promotes sound accounting practices, and assists in delivering timely and accurate financial statements. This role may also involve completing special projects as directed.

    Key Criteria/Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles

    Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Great Plains, Netsuite, SAP)

    Understanding of GAAP and financial statements

    Excellent analytical, GL research and problem-solving skills

    Working knowledge of Power BI, and accounting automation tools is a plus

    Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

    Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment

    Advanced level Excel skills (formulas, pivots, lookup), and able to successfully pass an Excel competency test

    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

    Minimum of 3 days at the Support Center and 2 days working remotely
