    Senior Accountant - Reporting - Hybrid (4 days in office)

    Growing national firm in Englewood is adding roles and seeking 3 Senior Accountants

    Responsibilities:

    Responsible for financial reporting for multiple operating companies, financial statement analysis with a strong focus on income statements, monthly close.  This person will laise heavily with the operational staff in multiple locations throughout the USA.  This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to work for a growing company with lots of opportunity.

    Essential duties and responsibilities:

    • Ensure the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close is completed accurately and within the monthly close cycle, including review of Balance Sheet reconciliations and P&L Statement
    • Perform in-depth analysis of individual business' income statements and provide commentary to management on business performance, trends, and profitability
    • Review complex journal entries including allocation entries, accruals, payroll, prepaid amortizations, and intercompany entries
    • Serve as the primary contact to leaders of operating companies to ensure accounting and reporting needs are met
    • Assist in the training and development of accounting staff to maintain a high level of employee commitment and competence for sustained and self-reliant performance and achievement of the business platform and the company
    • Identify areas for improvement and automation, and implement improvements
    • Work cross-functionally with other departments to increase financial reporting
    • Regularly use Excel spreadsheets, database and word processing software, and ERP systems
    • Occasional travel required (up to 15%)

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Bachelor of Finance will be considered
    • 3-7 years+ Audit and/or Accounting experience
    • Prior supervisory/management experience a plus.
    • Strong understanding of accounting theory/GAAP and ability to perform research as necessary
    • Must be detail oriented, and technically minded
    • Capable of working independently and with limited supervision
    • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize
    • Strong research and reconciliation skills required
    • Experience with learning new financial accounting systems
    • Knowledge and exposure to multi-company organizations a plus
    • Team player

    • Strong ability to problem solve
