    Leffler Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Acquisition Consultant to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The position focuses on the resource planning, analysis, and execution of large space development, acquisition, and operation programs in support of the Agency Program Office, Directorate, and staff components. An active TS/SCI w/ CI polygraph clearance is required.

    Position Type: Proposal position

    Travel: None

    Duties: Technical Leadership:

    Lead the acquisition processes for the design and implementation of automation infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration among software development teams.

    Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior acquisition team members, driving innovation and best practices.

    Stay abreast of emerging acquisition processes and technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the automation infrastructure to meet evolving needs.

    Automation Infrastructure Development:

    Oversee acquisition automated workflows and tools to streamline software development processes, reducing manual efforts and increasing overall efficiency.

    Implement and enforce acquisition process security measures within the automation infrastructure, ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive information and compliance with industry standards.

    Continuously assess and improve the acquisition process for the automation infrastructure, identifying areas for enhancement and optimization.

    Collaboration and Support:

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges, ensuring the acquisition processes for the automation infrastructure aligns with organizational objectives and requirements.

    Work closely with software development teams to understand their needs and optimize the acquisition processes for the automation infrastructure to enhance their productivity.

    Continuous Improvement:

    Conduct regular assessments and analysis of the acquisition processes for the automation infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary updates.

    Explore and evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the acquisition process for the automation infrastructure.

    Implement agile principles and methodologies to promote continuous delivery and adaptability within the acquisition process for software development process.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    Maintain accurate documentation of the acquisition process for automation infrastructure, including system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

    Generate reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders on the performance and effectiveness of the acquisition process for automation infrastructure.

    Required Qualification:

    Master’s degree from an accredited institution. A PhD is desired but not required.

    Experience in NRO, IC, or DoD acquisition or program management processes preferred

    16+ years of experience with OPIR, GEOINT, SIGINT, or Intelligence Integration and IC, DoD, and/or commercial space architectures, systems, and/or operations.

    Prior Government contracting experience required

    Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Ability to work with management on all levels

    Strong organization skills to meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

    Possess professionalism with a paramount desire to meet the mission and satisfaction of the customer
