    Healthcare Regulatory Transactional Attorney – New Jersey

    Our client, a highly respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Healthcare Regulatory Transactional Attorney to play a key role in structuring and advising on complex healthcare transactions. This role involves analyzing federal and state regulatory schemes, ensuring business models comply with regulations, and assisting with audits and regulatory litigation matters. This is a high-impact opportunity to work directly with the firm’s CEO and Corporate Department Chairs while supporting corporate/business lawyers on a broad range of healthcare-related transactions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify and analyze federal and state regulatory frameworks, spotting key compliance issues in healthcare business models
    • Structure healthcare transactions that align with client objectives while ensuring full regulatory compliance
    • Provide strategic insights on healthcare industry best practices, assessing the business, financial, and regulatory feasibility of proposed arrangements
    • Represent clients in Medicare audits and inquiries from insurance carriers
    • Support litigation attorneys by handling regulatory components of civil and criminal healthcare-related litigation
    • Work closely with the firm’s CEO and Corporate Department Chairs to enhance regulatory support for corporate transactions
    • Develop creative, business-focused legal solutions that address client needs while ensuring compliance with healthcare laws

    Qualifications:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a healthcare regulatory transactional attorney
    • Active admission to the New Jersey Bar (NY Bar admission is a plus)
    • Strong expertise in healthcare laws and regulations, including:
      • Stark Law
      • Anti-Kickback Statute
      • Medicare policies
      • Corporate practice of medicine and fee-splitting laws
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities under strict deadlines
    • Demonstrated business acumen, with a proven track record of delivering creative and pragmatic legal solutions
    • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
    • Highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
