Responsibilities: • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions • Strategize, prepare for, and attend trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitration • Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws • Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings • Manage a pipeline of approximately 100-120 personal injury cases to ensure cases progress seamlessly from inception to settlement/trial • Litigate cases for maximum settlement amounts • Conduct depositions • Attend mediations, hearings, and trials as needed • Prepare legal documents • Maintain heavy communication with clients, opposing counsel and adjusters • Negotiate settlements as needed, outside of mediation and trial • Meet monthly established goals and metrics Qualifications: • Applicants must have trial, mediation, and arbitration representation experience • 5 years of required experience as a senior associate in the legal field • Admitted to local and state bar associations • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision • Four-year bachelor’s degree and successful completion of law school from an accredited law school • Must have an active NY bar license in good standing • At least 5+years of experience working as an associate attorney • Excellent customer service skills • Track Record of successful settlements via negotiation, Offers of Settlement, mediation and jury trials Compensation: $200,000+ based on experience + bonus
