We’re Z Family Law, and we might be looking for you. It is our hope that you have been looking for us. We are not like other family law firms. At Z Family Law, we don’t write endings, we create new beginnings, and we do this by helping our clients focus on the future they want to be living rather than the pain of their current circumstances. We operate as a legal team, utilizing attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and a client care team to keep costs in control for our clients while ensuring that our attorneys are always the most prepared in the room and our clients are dazzled by our signature client experience. By pairing legal strategy with logistical, concierge-style support, we guide our clients through life’s unexpected challenges so they can build their best lives. Together, we focus on empowering our clients to navigate change and conflict in their family lives. We will help clients develop and articulate their vision for the future and create strategies to achieve their goals. We believe in guiding clients, not imposing solutions. If this sounds good to you, you may want to read on! If not … it's perfectly OK to move on. About You: Passionate about making a difference? So are we. We're looking for an attorney who wants to join us in our mission to completely change the way family law is practiced. Z Family Law exists to help our clients build the best possible version of their new beginning — whether securing a divorce, preparing a child custody agreement, drafting a prenuptial agreement, assisting with adoption, or modifying child support. Above all, we believe that their family law matter isn’t the end of their story, but rather an opportunity to reinvent themselves by closing one chapter and opening another. In order to do this, we need lawyers who are aligned with this mission, comfortable coaching clients on keeping their focus on their future, and unafraid to stand up for our clients in any dispute resolution process. We meet our clients in times of family conflict or transition, and we then assist them to make the transition in a positive manner, toward the life they want. We emphasize growth over conflict. We help clients move toward a new life, not just flee the one they are currently stuck in. You are experienced, but not “set in your ways.” We are seeking experienced family law attorneys who are excited to work with a team that shares their values. We aim to reduce unnecessary conflict and drama, focusing instead on creating meaningful outcomes for our clients. The system as practiced in many firms seems designed to escalate conflict, escalate attorneys fees (without increasing preparation) wear down the clients, and the legal team. There is a better way of doing things, so that the balance, most days, has you feeling awesome about how much you are positively affecting people’s lives. We can't eliminate the tough days ... we're not magicians ... but we are on a mission, and that makes it a lot more fun! You are comfortable working in a team. In this role, you will work with a dedicated team of attorneys, paralegals, assistants, and client care professionals. You must be comfortable being the director of your cases and ensure that our clients are receiving the benefit of the talents of each of our team members. If you are not comfortable delegating and prefer to “do everything yourself,” this is not the right role for you. Your commitment to clients drives everything you do. If you're still reading and think this might be the right place for you, let us introduce ourselves.
