Responsibilities: • Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses • Keep apprised of changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions • Strategize, prepare for, and attend trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitration • The Senior Attorney shall perform legal services including legal research; drafting agreements, resolutions, memos, motions, pleadings, orders, judgments, and status updates; and overseeing and analyzing discovery, documents provided by parties, etc. • The Senior Attorney shall appear on behalf of and advocate for clients as necessary • The Senior Attorney may also conduct initial consultations with prospective clients and serve as the principal contact between the Firm and its clients • When delegated by the Partners, the Senior Attorney may prospect for new clients through marketing, networking, writing articles, and speaking engagements Qualifications: • Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree, as well as 3-year law degree from an accredited law school • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload • Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills • Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations Compensation: $150,000 yearly
